Yeah, its a bitch. I'm currently smoking, but I've quit for up to a couple years at a time. Its just too damn easy to pick back up.
The nicotine is only part of the addiction. It gives you something to do with your hands, its a convenient break... all kinds of ritualistic habits form around the act of having a smoke. I can deal with the nicotine cravings, they only last for a week or so. I haven't found a good replacement for a lot of the other stuff yet.

Instead of smoke breaks, take walking "air" breaks ? Far away from the smoke pit if possible. Just go outside and walk for a few minutes. The health benefits would be very good.
