hi
so things are going. the new semester has taken off. it's weird only going half-time. i have all this "extra" time on my hands. so i've been putting in a lot more time at work. of course, i need the money badly so the hours serve a double need i suppose. i'm still undecided about classes. i am one of two girls in each class. not the first time that's been the case, but it is a little strange, especially since both my teachers are male. no hiding out in class for me! The production class is cool. Last class we sat around for an hour just playing with Adobe Audition, and I relate better to the teacher of that class. My other teacher is an older short, fat italian guy--and i say this b/c he fits the typical stereotype. I have the feeling that he's very approachable, but he barely meets the PC requirements for in-class conversation. He definitely asked around to see who was italian (not "half-breed" or "quarterbred" either) and bashed marriage on the first day.... if i hadn't grown up in the greater Roman area I might be more dismayed.
Work continues to go well. In fact, at the last event my table was quite a hit! I guess they are recognizing my crafting abilities. A good thing since it makes me more desirable. Of course they give me a lot more to do now, at least b/t the different managers and areas of the store. Either way I have mad bills to pay!
This weekend was chill. My mom and grandpa came out firday to visit. We went to lunch and I spent the rest of the day driving them around, specifically mom to craft stores in the area. She's putting together a quilt with my other aunt for my cousin's first baby. Then Clay came up and we all hung out a little more before mom and grandpa went home. Clay and I went out and about the rest of the weekend. I rented a couple movies: The Machinist and The Shining. The latter I actually had never seen, and though it was fairly creepy, I also thought it slow moving (so much in fact that I kept needing to be woken up - lol). The amchinist was good. kind of a typical twist but the acting was pretty good. Christian Bale played the lead. he lost SO much weight for the role. I couldn't look at him - it was sickening. He was so emaciated. Oh well, can't go wrong with movies, ice cream, and good company. We also hit up the usual spots- B&N, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. Oh, and a random call from a friend of a friend helped make things interesting too!
Now, if I can just figure out the meaning of life....
I'm starting with the post office. see ya lataz.
