some thoughts
I like grasshopper cookies. almost equally for the taste as for the name.
I miss playing rugby. I miss the sense of belonging, the true - but not impossible- challenge yielded by the pitch, the any and all the time excuse for a beer, and the expression on everyone's face when they found out I played.
I like Invader ZIM and Jhonen Vasquez for the similar reason that I like Tim Burton and his creations.
I miss the more wreckless days of college. The feeling of total abandon on the weekends, when substance abuse and going out were two terms for the same game. How perfectly in of out of control it always was.
I like knowing more about health and wellness, even if I don't always chose to follow all the tips, fads, or hype.
I miss having lots of friends all in one city. Having many aquaintances will never replace a closer crew always up for a good time...or to weather a rough patch.
I like having several good friends who keep in touch, and get together, even if more frequent cell calls and further car miles are necessary.
I do not like reminiscing when I just turned 23, but...
I like that I have something great to remember and a lot to look forward to.
so a lot has happened these past couple weeks and things didn't work out quite like I had in mind for the next school semester. But - it is working out and I am very thankful for supportive family and amazing close friends.
If there was a better way to go then it would find me
