Finally!
Man, I don't know what's going on in Russia, but now I know how the rest of the world must feel when random stuff in the US affects their internet services. Joy.
So, things I wanted to write about this week but couldn't:
Naruto
It was clear Itachi shipped Naruto/Sasuke before, and it's clear again now. I am both pleased and amused.
Anime Iowa
I had such a good time at AX that I decided rather spur of the moment to make the two-hour drive and hit Anime Iowa this year. I'll head out Friday night, pick up reg, maybe check out the nightlife, and then head for the Motel 6 twenty-five minutes away because the closer Motel 6 jacked up their rates and the Super 8 is sold out. Saturday, it's Layton time again! I should really come up with a few puzzles in advance.
It feels terribly weird making all my plans for a convention, even one I only really plan to attend for one day, in less than a week.
Shoes are currently drying from being spray painted. We'll see if this works any better than craft paint. Unfortunately, for "optimal drying" you're supposed to paint somewhere not humid. So... about 500 miles west of here? Well, they've got another 24 hours before I have to pack them up, so I'm optimistic.
Job
I may or may not have finally gotten my damn raise. My boss is being annoyingly enigmatic about it.
Books
Vicki, you would so love the last story in the Vorkosigan books. You'd like them all, actually, but you'd especially like the last one, which is called Diplomatic Immunity. It involves plague! And mutants! And crazy plot twists!
