Me while trying to (sloooooowly) translate Jinjuu:
Oh man, this prologue is entirely in kanji. At least there's furigana... Why the hell is this furigana in katakana? It's not any English word I recognize... It's not coming up on WWWJDic no matter what I try... Looking up the individual kanji means nothing... ::gives in and checks scanslation:: It's a Chinese name using an alternate reading?! Oi... Why does this version of "chikara" have three kanji? Is it still "power" or is there some other meaning for chikara? Seriously, what the hell author...
Hurray, I am done with the prologue! On to dialog, with short sentences and fewer kanji! Hurray!
...Oh god, without the kanji I have no idea where these words stop and start and which meaning of seventeen is intended and is that a particle or part of a word? I'm doomed. Dooooomed... Aww, it's the scene where they first meet... Doooooomed!
ETA: I don't even read Gintama (unless you count GinHiji doujin as of late, which is strange because, like I said, I don't even read the series), but
these mini figs are proving difficult to resist. Maybe if I tell myself I can just pick up the ones I want next AX...?
