It's been a while, folks. I'm not sure if there's anyone else following this anymore. I'm sorry I've disappeared from the face of the Fandom!Earth. Real life is whipping me around like the good slave-driver it is; that's no excuse, I know... It's supposed to be
sadaoru's turn but I'm here to resuscitate this RPG back to life and I have the defibrillator in my capable hands; juice cranked up high. I just hope I haven't lost my touch.
The young musician sat on the bench, under the pleasantly warm morning sun. He couldn’t sit still at home so he thought maybe a little walk would do him good. Ueda looked at his watch; he was very early. He pulled out his handkerchief and muffled the cough that escaped. As he returned his handkerchief into his pants pocket, he brushed against his jacket pocket where it stuck out a little stiffly. He was reminded of the tickets he had placed there; Maru’s tickets.
He had brought both, even though the other man had expressed that he only required one. Thoughts about the tickets soon shifted to the man they were for.
“I can’t wait to se..” I can’t wait to see you. Ueda blushed when he remembered the incomplete message he had sent. He had fallen asleep half-way through his text to Maru. Luckily, he had managed to press the send button before he dozed off. Any idiot could have completed the sentence without difficulty; and Maru was far from one. He couldn’t remember the last time he had been that forward with anyone other than Tatsuki.
He didn’t think it would be possible for him to grow any redder than he was at that moment. One thing led to another and soon he was reminded of his open invitation to Maru. He wondered if it was a rash thing to do.
Just what was I thinking, baiting him on like that…Ueda stifled another cough.
He felt much, much better now; the only outwardly trace ofhis sickness was the slight nasal quality in his voice. There was still a little cough here and a sniffle there and his throat was still sore from all the abuse it went through but otherwise, he was feeling rather fine. He opened a pack of lozenges to soothe his aching throat. Would it be alright to let him kiss me if it came to that, today?
Another cough punctuated his silent question.
...Better not.
He wished hard that he would heal completely by tomorrow.
Maru had responded later that night and when Ueda woke up that early morning, he responded with the time and place. Needless to say, Ueda was surprised to find that the Maru was already awake and responded to his text almost immediately. So here he was, sitting at their rendezvous point, jittering like a high school girl.
After today, Ueda had only two more days before his intensive practice for the concert would start. Previously, it was all he looked forward to. Being able to sit down in front of the piano and let loose. He would be able to lose himself in his own private world; it was his passion. But now, despite looking forward to the completion of his masterpiece, he could not help but dread the passing of the days until he had to return to the rigorous routine of his training… For those are the days where he would be too busy to see any one; let alone spare some time for Maru. It would be all consuming.
But Maru would be there, at his concert. He would be there when Ueda introduces his masterpiece to the world. Ueda couldn’t help but smile in anticipation. It would be worth the hard work and isolation. He would just have to make the best of these 3 days to heal and spend some good, quality time with Maru. It would be all that he would have to sustain him for the next grueling month.
Edited: 17/01 - hope it's better now...
