I'm grinning so much MY FACE HURTS. This was just too fun. I loved it. It was perfect in every way and I loved the epilogue and kljdhfkghkhsaj Martin is so cute when he's jealous and the cuddling afterwards was the sweetest thing EVER and I love you with the passion of a thousand burning suns. YES THAT MUCH, and then I re-read it and kept thinking about it and replaying it in my head. Because it's so sweet and THERE'S SO MUCH THAT I CAN READ ON THAT IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY. Except it is. You're a genius. Australia is awesome and I'd totally give him my bra only not because mine isn't sexy orz and I like how fun and light everything is (I don't know how to explain it, but lately I've been getting REALLY annoyed at the brazilian-girls-are-whores stereotype thing that seems to be going on since forever, and here you completely avoided that. England would name Australia after Charles I? Oh, I dunno, Cand. Remember, Arthur would have played a part in executing Charles I. Now Charles II I'd buy, and Australia being named after the Merry Monarch would give the colony all the excuse he needed to live up to the role model, as well-demonstrated in this story.

That being said, I don't think that Arthur would name Australia after either of the Charleses. Arthur would think of the Stuarts as Scottish gits, not real kings of England. Edward would be a better thought; at the time of Australia's settlement, there would have been nine Edwards (six post-Conquest, three Saxon), and at least three of them would have been good memories for Arthur (Confessor, I, and III, to be exact). Henry would allow for "Hank" and "Hal" as possible nicknames, plus there would be eight to choose from.

Just a minor criticism and something to think about. The story itself was pretty good.

It was kind of a toss up between Charles I and Charles II to be honest, though I was kind of thinking of Charles I in relation to England becoming a republic soon after, so as you say, he played a part in executing him. I WAS thinking that perhaps I should have made it Charles II but I'll have to read up on that ( ... )
