Compare and contrast:
-William Shakespeare
Sigh no more, ladies, sigh nor more;
......Men were deceivers ever;
One foot in sea and one on shore,
......To one thing constant never;
............Then sigh not so,
............But let them go,
......And be you blithe and bonny;
Converting all your sounds of woe
......Into, Hey nonny, nonny.
Sing no more ditties, sing no mo,
......Or dumps so dull and heavy;
The fraud of men was ever so,
......Since summer first was leavy.
............Then sigh not so,
............But let them go,
......And be you blithe and bonny,
Converting all your sounds of woe
......Into, Hey, nonny, nonny.

Boys speak in rhythm and girls in code
doo doo doo doo
doo doo doo doo
Tell it to me straight, give it to me now
Face forward, face forward....
Boys speak in rhythm and girls just lie
doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo
Tell me how you feel, come out of the dark
And we can head back home and I'll know where to start
In case you're wondering, we're doing Much Ado About Nothing in English. The first song was repeated several times throughout the play, and it reminded me of the second song which is on my iPod. I thought it was an interesting connection.
