Pool+Horses+Softball=Life Is Good
Obviously not all of those at the same time, otherwise the pool might be in trouble :)
It was just a good weekend overall. Friday started off a little rough as some thunderstorms kept us from the barn, but we had a nice night at home in place of it, and that is always welcome. Saturday we opened the pool, and that process was light years easier than this time last year.
Sunday started with a morning of working with Freckles and getting a brief, but very pleasant ride in. The brevity was by design, due to some issues we encountered with her on Tuesday. Nothing earth shattering, just part of building the relationship with my horse. Sundays ride was awesome, she responded very well and was fairly eager to go. I decided to end it on that good note, which I believe was a good move. Sunday finished with a dip in the pool followed the start of my co-ed softball tournament. We won both games (yay Beers!) and earned the right to play up to three more next Sunday. We'll see how it goes. I'm having fun playing and to me, that's all that really matters.
