PDFs of the World of Darkness rulebook are available legally for free. Personally, I find the rules a bit unwieldy, but it's good to have one of the major systems for reference.

When I talked to my contemporary social worker about the idea of joining the force noted here, she said she didn't think I'd be able to become stronger by it. That's fair enough; I also realized that I'd make a lot of enemies in the force by my opinion that officers should follow laws. The DM for the campaign running that night didn't tell me, so I found out when I arrived that we were playing a new version of MapTool. Consequently, the only way I found out was to open MapTool (which takes several minutes), then close it and install and run the new one (which takes several minutes). Mostly business as usual. I forgot the Paroxetine on Wednesday. I have been trying to interact with the few people with whom I feel I can do so relatively safely, but I'm still far below the point where I was when I started this job. In particular, having to avoid communication during gaming limits my participation.

For some reason, it took me until this week to realize that, since I'm gaming online anyway, I may as well actually be gaming with my friends, regardless of where they are. If I could get someone like arifyn or blitzcon, I wouldn't have to worry about being alone all the time.
