They finally got the Internet hooked up this week, so the lack of garbage disposal gets to the top of the list of why it's inconvenient to live here. Beyond what I said in the previous post, it really is a pain in the ass not being able to allow any crumbs or food bits to fall into the sink unless I want to have to dig them out by hand. I don't know a good way to clean dishes without running water over them, and I can't just wash it with water into the airtight food waste bag. I'm thinking I'm going to have to mail-order a sieve for this purpose alone.
