Star Trek comes home to Channel 50, Detroit

Star Trek Remastered showings in the Detroit area have moved to CW50, WKBD, Detroit. "The Galileo Seven ", the first in the second season of the original series episodes airs at 12am September 17, 2007. That's late Sunday night for us humans, but Monday for your recording machines.

Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock takes the starting role in the episode were the shuttlecraft Galileo crash-lands on a hostile planet inhabited by angry giants and the crew members argue bitterly as Spock attempts a desperate ploy to be rescued. "Catspaw", the 'Trick-or-Treat' show first presented in the original run just before Halloween on 10/27/1967, will be shown as a remastered repeat starting the weekend of 10/27/2007, 40 years later, on stations across the United States.

After an initial 35 year presence on WKBD (channel 50), Detroit, starting with the first syndicated showings of the original Star Trek and continuing through The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise, the Star Trek franchise left the station in May of 2005.
