Out there that-a-way and back again

The sky was clear, the humidity down and the air felt good, so I was ready for a drive yesterday, my birthday, the 30th. More of a drive than I initially thought, staying on the back roads. First heading south from here in Ann Arbor, MI, crossing into Ohio via their Ohio 64. Ohio was closed. err, I mean Ohio-120 west was closed, so I had to go east through a town that resurfacing all the main roads, get back into Michigan and followed some near the border roads westward in Michigan, and ended up skating in and out of Michigan going west, as I did get back in Ohio, but Ohio-120 west came back into Michigan. Found gas at 20 cents a gallon cheaper at a station on the border in Michigan and again got back into Ohio, this time US-20 westward.
When I saw the old building with Family Restaurant in big letters on it's roof, I was ready for lunch in Pioneer, Ohio. At Spokes Restaurant, I had their 8 oz chopped steak special, with cheese, mushrooms, red and green peppers and onions. Kind of a Philly steak sandwich without the bread and much more steak. Yum. I wanted a souvenir of my trip to Ohio, so I bought a Mega Millions lottery ticket (current jackpot 330 Million dollars). It's the same game as here in Michigan, but wouldn't it be kicker to win on the Ohio numbers?
The road sign said Angola, Indiana was only 24 miles away, I did a little more driving west to find the Indiana border and headed north to the MI-OH-IN Tri-State point Pete and myself visited on The Fourth of July. The corn on the Indiana side was not doing too good. While rainfall in August had been plentiful, it was really dry in July and many of the crop fields I seen seemed to show it.
Anyway, I had to get another photo, this time with my shadow in all three states.

The first road south in Ohio, just down the road, headed east and, what do you know, the a house was having a yard sale. I stopped to take a look, to find some nick-nack to get as a reminder of the trip. I got a little wooden bowl, but the idea was to talk to those that were there. It turns out her son is the one who takes care of the mowing around the monuments of the Tri-State point. She said the tree line in the back of the lots across the street is what they consider Michigan.
The drive on that road continued 13 miles east, stopping at North-South roads about every half-mile that did not have stop signs for themselves. It was Ohio-15 that I turned north on, which became Michigan-99 in less than a half-mile. Anyway, I still found some other roads not numbered to use for most of the trip to get back home. I figure about 225 miles traveled in the 7 and a half hours, all without spotting a McDonald's or Burger King.
