The Hunt Continues
Archer has another interview yesterday. He had already spoken with the HR Director on the phone for about 30 minutes and yesterday he spent an hour with her and a few brief moments with some head honcho. They have asked him to come back next Tuesday to meet with 5 other people: Lad Director, a lab tech, operations director, legal counsel and someone else I can remember.
CareerBuilder is somewhat bogus. They send him listings for places he has already found info about and already contacted. He's been racking up time on Linkedin and making some contacts there. He's also spending some time continuing work on a OSHA Instrustion idea..one he started working on before he was downsized and took with him when he left. (previous boss/owner does not have the OSHA knowledge or background to implement this kind of program). In addition, he hopes to be granted some money to get some additional OSHA certs. It's a grant program he found out about via the unemployment office. of course, since it is the guvment it is taking forever and a day to get anything done.
Thanksgiving this week. An evening in Alabamastan with his family then Sunday we have a get-together with the kids, their boy/girl friends and our FOC. Bring on the Baileys!
