i just had the wierdest series of...
.....coincidences that lead me to a super pleasant surprise! as it is music monday i was pondering bands that i liked but have lost track of. i started thinkin WTF happened to hootie? they were good! dont act like you didnt (and still do if you hear it in the car) belt out "Time" at the top of your lungs. yeah. you do. you remember hootie and the blowfish right? yeah who doesnt. anyhow i really liked them on the radio but it was one of those bands that i never bought a cd cause they were on the radio constantly.
well as i sat here pondering my hootieless life and how i should go buy their cds i was flipping between NCIS and GAC (thats "great american country" for those that dont know) anyhow i was packing and a song came on and i went thats catchy and turned to see who it was. then i was like "WOAH! its a black guy!" ok im no racist and have black, white, and purple friends. but really who expects to see a black country singer? so i kept watching and the more i looked at the guy the more i was like.....
'is that effin hootie!?" i listened to the whole song and it was Darius Rucker. sure stinkin' enough it WAS HOOTIE!!!!! singing country music! WTF? the song was catchy sure enough but you loose all the wonderful timber of his voice when he lays a southern twang on it. is he from the south originally? i dont know. i am toally even more intrigued. what are the odds though. i never watch music channels and while i do listen to alot of country music its stuff i have purchased cause my car radio has been broken for two years and i hate commercials anyhow. im like ponderin hootie and whoop! there he is! hahaha. awesomeness. that is all. heres the song i heard on GAC just for reference too.
