So, I had a good time at the game shop today, actually playing
Warmachine with someone other than Jen for, like, the second time since we've moved. Don't get me wrong, I love playing with Jen, but she plays one faction, as do I, and while both armies have variability, there is only so far that goes. Anyway. Had one good game, and several fun gaming geeky conversations, and then my brain just starts to melt down. Aside from being nervy as is often the case, I honestly can't think strait, either. By the time I get home (after buying donuts and pillows), my nose has gone into full out meltdown, plugged up, and I'm sneezing like mad. Sinus headache too. Gradeigh! I hate whatever this is, cold or allergies. I cleaned the house of all the allergens that I could (I couldn't get to vacuuming, my nose and head where kicking my butt). Jen's asleep already, her allergies seem to be kicking up a bit too. Oh joy.
Anyway, funkiness aside, today was fun. Also, I had an idea today. Kurt and Christine, you'll be up here by the time this happens, to here's an invite for Kurt, Christine and Bryan (Noe, I'd invite you too, but I'm fairly sure you could care less) to join me on 4/22 at rainy day games, for the release of
HORDES!, a new, kick ass tabletop miniature game that's coming out. I'm buying two factions that day, Legion of Everblight and Trollbloods, and plan to play the Legion. So, everyone is welcome to play the other one whenever, and either when I'm taking a break from buttkicking. There will be lots of people there. Everyone playing Warmachine today talked about it, and that's just the ten or so folks that showed up today. I've seen higher turnout for the warmachine tournament I went to. So, should be big cool gaming day. Interested?
