High Tech Garbage

Apparently spending 1000 dollars on a TV only gets you cheap garbage? I've gone through two brands of TV so far at that price. The 46 inch Sony Bravia had one of the the worst sets of speakers I have ever heard on a TV. They made me feel like I had to pop my ears cuz it sounded like they were underwater. My cheap speaker set on my computer blew it out of the fucking water. So I returned that piece of junk.

Now I have this 46 inch Samsung Series 6 630. While this one is 'better', it's still freakin garbage. This is one of those 120hz TVs, but the problem is the processor in the TV is so slow it can't handle that refresh rate. You constantly see it unable to keep up the refresh rate as it tries to process things, which is jarring as fuck and distracts you from what you're watching. On top of that, when playing games under normal settings, the TV takes over --130ms-- to process the audio and video signals and output them. I can ping a slow server in California and get a response before this thing outputs the sound from me hitting the Rockband drums. Needless to say, Rockband is out of the question. Hell that's a pretty hefty disadvantage in any game that needs reflexes.

Don't people test this shit? Did no one at Samsung take a second to think that hey, someone might hook an Xbox up to this? Kinda fed up with this expensive, cheaply made junk. Hard to believe the trash that companies will put out, all the while advertising like it's the most amazing thing ever.

So yeah, gonna be taking back this TV too, though I have no idea what I'm doing from there. So much for being happy about getting a new TV.
