(On a similar, hopefully non-weird note, I've got to say that I think it would be fun to hang out with the offspring my age. I'm an only child, I can barely imagine baking a cake with a sibling. :) )

I don't think you're hitting any weird notes with your kind words about the kids. They're the best thing I've got going and there are so many of them. I'd want to hang out with 'em if they weren't my own, I'm pretty sure. I suspect they'd enjoy hanging out with someone like you, too. :)

A recruiter got in touch with me this a.m. about an architectural historian job at a Big Consultancy Which Will Remain Nameless (not my former employer, but a firm I worked with when I worked with them) which would like to hire someone at a large federal installation in the high desert. I politely declined, but I have contact info if you know someone who'd be interested.

Most of the people I know do mostly prehistoric but there are a few who do historical stuff. Do they need their master's? I can't remember about architectural historians and I'm too tired to look it up. I'm thinking they may not. Thanks!
