Yep, it's starting

A mosque in Saint Petersburg got a death threat.

That's the one that is reported. I imagine others have gotten them too - but the Saint Pete newspaper is a tiny bit more liberal than usual for this hellhole of a state, and the funny thing is that the voicemail threat included the guy's name. I know there is an Islamic center in town, and I'm worried about it. It never made the news after 9/11, but that center had very real threats made against it - good church people were forming patrols to protect it from the haters.

That the guy even gave his name and said if they followed up he didn't care is a bit chilling... if it was just bluster and an attempt to hurt without getting involved, I'd expect they'd try to keep their identity hidden. He also said that a Militia was preparing to attack them. There are more "Militias" than people realize in this country - the SPLC claims to follow hate groups but I know of many Klanspeople in this hellhole, and even know where the local Klan headquarters is... and over the last few years have met quite a few people in "Militias". They've been keeping a low profile.

Meanwhile, an Army Reserve center in Massachusetts was broken into and weapons taken. I find that doubly chilling - because of the sort of things I remember being said by dominionists and bigots around this place.

ISIL called the tune, and the idiots are dancing to their order. Innocent people are likely to be forced to eat the price, unless the US government gets off of its ass and realizes that there is a far greater threat to this country from the militant Religious Right (and their allies) than from Muslims.

death threats, isil, violence, religious right
