Christmas! December! Work! MADNESS
I'm still alive! hi, everyone! Urg, I'm sorry I'm so awfully behind. I just cracked my knuckles and decided to go through all my missed posts, and after skip=140, LJ decided I could not have any more tabs! or, well, yes to tabs, no to seeing posts. Anyway, I managed to find fic I haven't read posted in worlds_finest, so I hope I didn't miss anything... not that I'm going to catch up with this anytime soon, it's like, 40 tabs open at this point. Anyway, all that to apologize for being so behind, and to say I hope everyone had a good Winter Holidays time!
Work here continues to be a huge pain in the ass -this is what you get for working with your father, self- and we have had a bunch of run ins where much yelling has been had. The holidays itself went okay. My boy got the a precious locket for Christmas (a steampunky book with a clock movement and wings with pictures of us inside *swoons*) so I feel like my presents for him were kinda lame... but. I did what I could! boys are hard to shop for.. My eldest brother came home for the holidays and will stay here until the 2nd, so I'm sharing the house again with a sibling. Odd how easily you get used to being on your own! I'm now feeling a bit crowded with the lack of personal time. But I'm glad to see him, so there's that!
I got a bunch of cool Christmas presents, and I've had some pretty awesome food, and overall ran around like a beheaded chicken between work and family and the BF. JD came over to visit last month and stayed for a couple of weeks, so that was fun too! ...again, not used to having my time monopolized anymore, but I was super glad to see him, as I miss him.
I've just finished the book 4 of The Wheel of Time series, so I'm going to try to crunch another book between TWoT books. I have two prompts of the WFGE that I haven't gotten to *cringes* I will get to them, though! I just need some uninterrupted me time! :S So they are going to be late, but they will be! honest!
Anyway... I hope everyone has a good New Year's eve and a good start to 2011! I'm incredibly grateful for all the good things that happened to me this year, and I hope next year is full of surprises. I want to have an adventure or two! Hope everyone's doing okay!
