Feeling much better now; thanks everyone! &hearts&hearts!! Sleep helped immensely, as it usually does, and I'm not nearly as stressed now as I was Sunday night. Just hoping I can get into all of my classes for next semester, now. I get to register tomorrow sometime and there's a part of me that's really freaked out about it (as always; registration is stressful) and another part that just doesn't care and is ready to deal with whatever comes.
In other news, we got our newest assignment in Typography today. I am now the leading artist behind the band Art of the State. I have to design their logo, press release, CD cover, booklet, etc.
Art of the State
Brief: Political. Controversial. Provocative. Antagonizing. Art of the State is an electronic rock band with a very compressed, dance-y sound. All of the members are completely anonymous (!!) so no one knows how many people are actually in the band. All of the songs have a strong, aggressive, political agenda mixed with strong, heavy beats. Reviews have described them as an electronic version of Rage Against the Machine, mixing the styles of Human After All-era Daft Punk, Kavinsky, and Justice with lyrics resembling social commentators like Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Vietnam-era music.
Album Title: Lacerations from a Broken Media
Description: Angry, dance-oriented, rallying, abrasive
...I'm not sure how dance and politics mesh, but this is what I've got to run with. SO RUN I SHALL. I've still got to come up with track names for the album, and since it's a full album, not an EP, I'm looking at 9 - 10 of them. I might go with 9 just because it's my favorite number. And then maybe add in some bonus tracks.
Love the fact that the band itself is anonymous, though. Think I should try to find to work in Anonymous? IT SEEMS SO EASY IF I DO.
