A Love Letter:

Oh, RE5 trailers with your potential spoilers, why must you be such a tease?

Simply because it is the season of love almost March and I'm getting a touch desperate for answers does not mean I will be an easy lay. I am not that desperate, and presently have enough other stuff to do to keep me busy while I wait.

I will admit, however, that you are making my resistance difficult at best, and nigh impossible at worse.

Can't you just keep it in the box wait until March 13th? I have ample free time set aside to play with you, then! More than once, even! As much as I can, actually!

So please, please, just hold out for a little longer.

Anwë

...Hokay, that aside, here's the real reason I've made a post:

Comment to this post and I will give you 5 subjects/things I associate you with. Then post this in your LJ and elaborate on the subjects given.

from tempest_arashi and onijutsu!

from tempest_arashi
loser
This...is Arashi's favorite nickname for me. D: She says she uses it because I am one, I say she says it because she is a mean and hurtful person. XDXD

the apartment 8) For those on my f'list who're relatively new, tempest_arashi and I are roommates. We're also friends and have been since high school (though our relationship is so abusive you'd never think was possible). This is our first year sharing an apartment, though we lived on the same floor when we lived in the dorms.

Haha, we were quite often asked why we decided not to room together in the dorms, since we're friends and all, but we both knew we'd have ended up killing each other/ruining our friendship if we had to stay in such close quarters. We relented for the apartment because we'd each have our own rooms and our own space away from each other.

Resident Evil
I wondered who was going to bring this one up first - tempest_arashi or
onijutsu. Funnily enough, they both have it covered in one way or another.

jsf;dskf;dskfuskfjds I don't really know how to elaborate on this. XD;; I'm huge into it, for one - though I'd imagine my posts since October kind of reflect this, lawl. I love it, too. It feeds my growing thrill-seeking, quasi-adrenaline junkie tendencies and, unlike half the other fandoms I'm involved in, isn't going to be ending any time soon.

Plus, I get to kill things (and then set them on fire, depending on the game, or throw a Molotov Cocktail at 'em, or use my BAMFing Chicago Typewriter).

our counter the godawful amount of Mountain Dew we go through
Arashi and I are slaves to the Dew. We are. (I don't drink coffee, and tea is hardwired as my 'falling asleep-time' drink, and I can't stand Coke or Pepsi unless it's Cherry, so Dew is my most reliable source of caffeine. I think Arashi just likes the taste and the caffeine, lawl.)

Because I am a recycler, Arashi knows to not throw away any of her cans, so she puts them on our rather large countertop in the kitchen so I can wash them out and take them home. But because I am lazy and also busy, those cans tend to accumulate. A lot. To a point where we don't really have a countertop anymore, because it has been taken over by our cans and our dishes. Oops.

techno
...This is actually something more and more people are starting to know me for. XD;;; I'm a big fan of the stuff; love the way it sounds and how flexible the genre is. &hearts! but I'm pretty picky about what I listen to. I'm not normally artist specific, though I generally like DJ Tiësto, BT, ATB, Daft Punk, Moby, Paul Oakenfold, and Oceanlab's work. I'll often listen to streaming DJ sets and then go and hunt down the songs I hear based on whether or not I like them.

Techno music is actually one of my greatest sources of inspiration for my art and writing. I have a number of stories and characters and art works that either are named based on the song or reflect the feelings I get when I listen to them.

tadpole dogs (*SHOT*)
So I like to draw animals. XD I have for years. However, I haven't always had the meager skills I have now. The best way I can describe my old work? Tadpoles. The damned things looked like tadpoles.

HERE, FOR COMPARISON:

The little drawing at the bottom is me at age eleven y'all had better appreciate that thing. I'd prefer to pretend it doesn't exist. The one on the top is me now, ten years later (and drawn like, ten minutes ago).

THERE'S A DIFFERENCE, Y/N?

wolves
This vaguely relates to the tadpoles, lawl. In a nutshell? I love wolves. They've been one of my favorite animals for years. I just love how intelligent they are and how intricate their hierarchies are and how much like ours their social structure is. They fascinate me, and for much of my childhood I wanted to be a field biologist and study them out in the wild. They've colored my life and my art since I was a young kid.

wings
To be honest, I'm not quite sure where the wings-as-my-personal-symbol thing came from, though I know it started during my freshman year of high school. I think it came out of my growing contentment with being an air sign (I'm a Libra), and that wings were the only real symbol I could think of to associate with it.

I also started dreaming about being a fighter pilot around this point (a pipe dream, because I now have less than 20/20 vision and am kind of scared of heights to boot), so wings became even more personally symbolic. It led to my DA name (WhiteWingedAnwe), one of my most personal characters' name (Flight), and, most recently, a story title (Code:Wings). It's a solid part of who I am, now, and I don't regret it. XD

root beer
This was my drink of choice throughout most of high school. I still love it (I have a ranking system and everything!) but I'm a college student, dammit, and sometimes my beloved non-caffeinated beverage just doesn't cut it. So now I drink mostly Mt. Dew, but keep a stash of root beer around for whenever I want something different.

...I'm also a big fan of root beer floats.

Also: root beer doesn't exist in Australia. D: At least, it didn't when I lived there.

zombies
The first word in my friends' page, and also one of my biggest obsessions - outside of giant robots, that is. I fell into the zombies thing about when I got into Resident Evil - no surprises there, they kind of go hand in hand. I've done a bit of looking into the literature and the history of the zombie (it's really kind of interesting and mostly symbolic, and I'm a real sucker for symbolism).

And I do, actually, have a loosely formulated plan of what I'd do in case a real version of RE's T-Virus or the Rage Virus from 28 Days/28 Weeks movies were to spawn itself in my area. I say loosely formulated because I have a few different ones and all of them are built to have some wiggle room for the exact circumstances.

Nope, I'm not obsessed. XD;;

Didn't do any writing tonight; did my Typography homework instead. I'll write again tomorrow.
