It figures that I fight through most of this stupid chapter, knowing that something was off about it the whole time, only to figure out the problem after three hours of doing nothing but staring at the blinking cursor on the screen. It's a simple problem with a fairly obvious solution, and I've already kicked myself for not seeing it sooner.
...Unfortunately, it means I have to rewrite the whole damn thing. And that 4,419 words worth the work have been virtually shot down.
