The above song was playing on the radio on my way back just now aha. It's been a long while since I listened to Chinese songs, lest of all Jolin Tsai's (used to be an avid fan of her). Since I can't really concentrate on studying now... Might as well blog abit hehe. Ok quite a fair bit happened since the last time I updated. There's my virgin site visit #failedrealestatekidLOL and submissions of various projects and assignments (YAY) and there's Dance Uncensored 2014, where you can just see all the skilled dancers from the various halls. Speaking of dance, I had my first ever dance battle last Tuesday omg. The seniors tricked us into coming by saying that there's a buffet dinner (it was the earliest time I ever reached HAHA #dontjudge), turned out that there's a 2v2 after the buffet. By random allocation, I was paired with Xiao Zhou, who's damn good in popping omg do you know how pressurised I felt :< But he's very nice and patient when coming up with the routine steps. Ok so basically, 2v2 is when a pair vs another pair, and two songs will be played. In either song, we can either do some routine steps together then solo, or just solo all the way. I obviously opt for the routine+steps la LOL. Xiao Zhou did his solo all the way #toozai We ended up losing to the other pair, with me feeling extremely apologetic to Xiao Zhou because I'm too cui but he's very nice about it and well, overall, its a good experience nonetheless. It's also through this that I decided to 'specialise' in popping rather than locking. I like locking too, but for freestyling, popping is easier to grasp in my opinion.
Oh oh oh not to forget the massive disappointment that is the HIMYM finale, which basically, threw away past 9 years of character development in the finale. All gone just like that, poof. #ohwow #iwassuperupsetforaweek #stillupset I understand that they had that finale idea since the start/season 2 and that they didn't expect the series to be this successful with this many seasons, hence the many character developments. But honestly, they should adapt their finale idea with the character developments. Now I can't even rewatch old episodes of HIMYM because I'll keep having the (horrendous) finale in mind.
But still, watching my favourite couples get married is just :')))
Either way, I still love the freaking show, just not the finale.
One thing the show taught me is to enjoy the process ~is that like cautioning us against the finale~
On to... other sadder stuff, there's also the hall command just two days ago, an event put up by the hall's graduating batch as their final performance for the hall, which is really really really good, considering that the people behind all these are the ones with the busiest timetables in hall. Time's indeed ticking and it won't be long before I too, bid farewell to this hall :'( Maybe that's partly why I'm spending the remaining weeks here in hall, till 8th of May, aka my dad's birthday so I had to be back home LOL. Another reason is because I can not study at home; all I ever wanted to do at home is sleep omg. Hopefully I won't be like that next sem because... I'm hall-less next sem #cries
