This has been one of the best weekends that I've had in a while. I had to work Thursday until 5. When I got off work, I called Josh (he's back home in Clemmons for the holidays). He asked me if I had left work yet and where I was. I had left work. He asked me a couple times where I was on my drive home. I started to think "is he up here or something?" He surprised me and was at the door of my apartment when I got home with a rose and a bottle of champagne. How sweet is that. He stayed with me Thursday, Friday and then left yesterday. I didn't want him to have to stay up here for New Years because I had to work until 1am and there's nobody else really around up here right now because of the holidays. So he came up prior to. Friday was Patty's birthday. She's a bartender over at the bar connected to the bowling alley where I work and she's like my mama up here. I love her to death. She turned 51 and Josh and I made her a cake and then lit candles over at the bowling alley and about 15 of us went into the bar with the cake and the whole bar chimed in with us to sing happy birthday. Patty had tears running down her face. It was neat. Then Josh and I stopped and got some stuff to make dinner and Abby and Jon came over to my apartment to eat dinner with us. Josh and I made... none other than... spaghetti because it was quick and its what I love. It was damn good. I did the spaghetti, he did some awesome bread with a oil dipping sauce, and we both did the spaghetti sauce and combined our spice-knowledge haha It was great. It was sort of like a double date. Jon and Abby brought a bunch of beer. Josh got a bottle of liquor and the four of us ate dinner and then played cards and listened to music and talked. It was cool. Yesterday, since I had to work on New Years Eve. I decided my new year began at 3:00. So Josh and I had our own New Years yesterday and made another awesome meal. Then I was almost late for work because I had to be there at 5. And he was extremely sweet and when I left, he made me some dinner, and brought it to me to work and since I didn't have time to pick up my prescription, he did that too. And brought me the earrings that I forgot at home. He's an awesome guy. He had to head on back to Clemmons after he dropped that stuff off for me at work. But then when I got home last night, I came home to "Luv u babe" and "Happy New Year" written on my mirror in toothpaste. That was a definite pick-me-up after being at work til 2.
Thank god I don't have to work today. I'm just going to relax and clean.
Here are some pictures of Josh and I from this weekend.
