And life was showing such promise.

As of 9:00am today I no longer have a checking account. Having been over drawn for 45 consecutive days the bank has decided to cut it's losses with me. Additionally I will be unable to open another checking account ANYWHERE for a period of no less than two years. I don't know what effect, if any, this will have on the business account I have at the same bank. Looks like I'll get to take full advantage of Wal-Mart's "Less than half the cost of the competition" $3 check cashing fee.

It started out, as it usually does, with a lie. Specifically, "Funds transferred will be available the next business day." When Best Buy hired me on they did not ask me for my checking account information, they just set up a new account for me with it's own debit card and online banking system. However I could still electronically transfer funds to my personal account. See above. Actual turn around time 5-10 business days.

So we get $35.00 bounced check fees, $2.00 per day overdrawn fees, and we learn of more lies that compound our problems. "With our automatic bill payment, you won't have to worry about bouncing a check. Before we take the money out of the account we will check with your bank to see if you have enough money in your account. If not we'll hold off." When actually you will keep submitting the same charge at the open of business every day, $35 fees galore.

Then there was, "Your full time position starts Jan 18." Okay one week of unemployment I can handle this. Which morphed into, "We'll have you on call for the first week, then you start regular hours the 25th." to "We'll call you when we need you, but we're still holding you to the non-compete agreement you signed."
