1. not really, unless you can consider something vaguely similiar such as choosing narrators in a LARP in which case I think the pool of selection is smaller and more obvious. my technique had always been to choose people who were not getting enough out of the game as a player. You, for example, were always more creative and imaginative than the role of player would allow you, so I promoted you so that you could indulge those thoughts with more freedom.

5. No. well maybe. if you means the idealized me, or the model of me that acts as my psyche then it controls my body and thus my life. However since this interesting model is an emergent system from the uninteresting sack of meat which is my body and that seems to be guided by physics then one would reflexively say "no, biology and math and physics and chemistry are in control" The conclusion, however, is that thanks to quantum physics we know some things are unknowable therefore either no one is in control of my life OR god(dess)(es) are. either way I feal like I am in control and that's what counts. :-)
