[On one hand, America doesn't quite believe that statement, but on the other, he's still kind of dumbstruck. The fact that the 'damsel' did not give any attention to his heroics and that the 'villain' did not tremble in fear makes it all the more obvious America probably had an epic fail of a misunderstanding right there. Plus, with everyone coming from different times (or different worlds maybe?) who knows how 'best friends' treat each other in their home world?]
