What was old is new again
Cast your mind back.
Way back. To the late nineties to begin with when DVDs first started coming in and there was that real wow factor at the leap in video and sound quality.
Now go back even further: to the late eighties, early nineties, when grainy fan subs (with dubious translations) of anime started appearing in Perth.
Think of a series that you enjoyed then and have only seen that way, and not for years.
It was never commercially released and those old VHS tapes were all you had (if that).
Until now.
Now imagine watching a clean copy of the opening without the credits, good visuals, and clear sound.
WOW.
And the series is just as funny as you remembered but with clear translations.
The show that I'm talking about is Dirty Pair and I'm just loving the first thirteen episodes that arrived in the last week or so.
Does a little happy dance. :)
