Thirty Days of Anime

As a distraction from other... stuff (see locked posts for background) I'll be doing a thirty days meme similar to the ones that angriest, stephen_dedman, and possbert have been doing. I've found one list of topics but too many cater to a style of anime fandom that just isn't me. So at this stage I'm looking for is suggestions for topics to drop and topics to add.

I've been reading angriest's posts (on topics I have a clue about) really interesting (and enthusing... I now have vague plans to actually watch some of the tv he talked about:-) ). I'll be really interested to read your responses... I don't (haven't) watch(ed) much anime at all.

Cool. Is there anything you'd like to find out about in the way of examples, genres, styles, etc?

You could always include the obvious "Favourite TV series", "Favourite OAV", "Favourite film", etc.

Or maybe "A really obscure anime worth digging out of the archives".

Are there any topics you'd drop or run far away from?

1) You might want to add something on fanfic (favorite, or fanfic you've written or would like to write)
2) You may want to add a definition for the terms that not everyone knows; I would certainly count as an anime fan but I don't know "yandere" off the top of my head, for instance.
3) Instead of "favorite Pokemon" which limits it to ONE of the "summoned/owned monster" shows, you might want to just say "'mon" and make clear that it's for any of those type of shows.
4) Favorite five-team?
5) Best BGM?

1) I wouldn't have thought of that, I'll certainly consider it.
2) The "yandere", "tsundere", and "moe" questions are currently on the list to be dropped. Otherwise I'd agree with you, and would post links to the relevant tv tropes page.
3) Possible but at the moment I'm inclined to leave it as is and give an answer along the lines of the classic review of Bubblegum Crash...

I agree with dropping the yandare, moe, tsundere. And swimsuit, for that matter.

But dear GOD man, don't link to TVTropes! You'll lose people forever at that point. They'll be gone, never to return, lost in a twisty maze of little webpages.

Oh the Swimsuit post will be going as soon as I find something decent to replace it with.

As for linking to TV Tropes, I consider that part of my credentials as an Evil Overlord. :)

Have I already culled the worst questions or are there still some that you'd ditch?

Ones I would cut:

Favourite harem anime I would ditch.

Favourite school uniform too.

Favourite boys love couple / yuri love I see you've left in while cutting out favourite, presumably het. couple. I would posit cutting out couples altogether or just have " Favourite couple of whatever sexes" or favourite love story/interest.

You have "Favourite shoujo" but no "Favourite shounen" Either have none or both.

This is just me, mind.

Another question:
Anime you were predisposed to and wanted to like but ended up hating.
