Ceret - Round Two

Aug 09, 2017 00:54

Hey guys! Wooo talk about disappearing, huh? 6 months or so since the last post, I'm back to post some more lmao. Except... real talk... it's been 6 months so god only knows how much I remember was going on. Like... 6 months since I last POSTED anything, which means the last time I played this round specifically can be anywhere up to 8 months ago... that's a long ass time. Why am I like this?

Anyway. Our move to South Korea went swimmingly, considering the months leading up to it were an anxiety-ridden mess where I couldn't get myself to relax for even a minute. I can't believe August 9 marks 3 months having already passed; incredible. Funny enough, three months later we've only just gotten our belongings and started setting up our home - including our computer, which I missed so very dearly. Also my kitchen stuff - I've missed THAT very dearly, too. But despite that, these three months have been great. This is the first place I've ever felt comfortable calling home, because it really feels that way. The community is wonderful, I get to visit Seoul whenever I want to, I don't have to worry about not being able to drive, I can take public transpo for easy commutes, and I've bought way too many cutesy things since getting here.

Basically, this place is perfect to me and I'm going to be so upset when I have to leave. ;________;

This is also the SECOND time I had to do this post cos I attempted to use livejournal's ~new post editor~ cos it sounded neat bUT IT WAS NOT AND EVERYTHING WAS AWFUL for me lmao so ;_______; GUH. HERE WE ARE.

But anyway, less yapping about my life and more yapping about the pixels' lives (I mean, unless you're into it, guys. I don't mind talking about my life here!)

The round begins, unsurprisingly, in a rather droll way. Having topped his creativity skill the night before (a climatic end for the week, one might say, as Logan found a climatic end of her own hurrhurr) he searches the paper for a job in the artist career, but finds nothing.

Dallas is still suffering from the Very Arduous Events of her last round, poor thing.

So... I'd remembered that ONE of the somewhat useless guys of Arcadia (lmao) had wanted to get a make over chair and for some reason I thought it was Rory? It turns out it was not but. Eh. He got to experiment for a while before I remembered. D:

He invited Arts Hobbyist (I think?) Dani up for a much needed make over.

At first she didn't seem too certain, but it took only a moment for her to fall in love with her own new look. Rory was right; her bangs just had to go.

And just like that, it's back to skilling for him.

Dallas has a bitter grudge she will never let go of - and who can blame her, considering the emotional trauma she's suffered. That said - when did Dempsey show up and why is he in his underpants? (Pls answer, Logan.)

The siblings share a nice little bowl of cereal together, but something must be off with the milk, because it seems Logan isn't feeling well.

And by not feeling well, of course, I mean she wakes up the next day wondering if she could POSSIBLY be pregnant from her woohoo with Dempsey. \o/

(Don't let my fussing fool anyone; I'm eager as hellllll to see the kids they could have!)

Since the milk clearly hasn't gone bad, Logan tucks back in for another bowl. Now that she's possibly/probably eating for two, her hunger is depleting fast and she needs to keep up.

And Rory does what Rory does best. I feel bad that he's sort of, you know, purposeless but for painting. D:

Logan invites over Dempsey (or maybe snags him on the side of the road, idk) because she has some really big news to deliver.

Rory checks the paper again for a job opening, but unfortunately there's still no openings in the art career. After the break in at the Greene farm, the residents - especially Dallas - are pretty unsettled. They're barely two seasons into their new lives and already some kind of theft has occurred? Rory hates to be suspicious of his neighbors, but someone broke into the Greene's home.

Even thought it's not his ideal career, for now, Rory thinks someone should take up the mantle of law enforcement. The nearest town is close enough to share law enforcement, but it's not ideal. Maybe he'll be able to convince some of them to come here and help out, instead.

It's quite good that he decided to do such a thing; Dallas's mental state is in a rough place, and maybe some homeland security will help her settle.

(ALSO THE DANG FREEZERBUNNY GUITAR GLITCHED ON DEMPSEY AND THEY HAD TO GET RID OF IT)

She's already knocked up, it can't get any worse, so. Welp. Have fun.

(I LEGIT FORGOT THEY WERE ENGAGED?!)

Just St. Claire sibs hanging out in other peoples' yards nbd.

I truly apologize that you aren't more interesting, Rory.

Dashiel manages to sneak into their "family" dinner lmao

After which, Rory persuades Dashiel for just a slight trim. Dashiel can't say he's exactly keen; he likes his style, thank you very much, and doesn't think he needs much change, but Rory has a manner of persuasion to him, it would seem.

Of course he likes it lmao

Concern for Dallas plagues the town. Will they be okay, if their main resident farmer is struggling to overcome her situation?

Logan's suspicions are confirmed; she is most definitely eating for two! Not that she minds terribly; though she dreams of a dance studio, she dreams even more of a family to call her own. And now that she's carrying her fiance's baby, it seems that dream will soon be a reality.

As a mother to be, she thinks it a good idea to study up on parenting. She wants to be the best mother she possibly can be - and to be honest she clearly has no experience with this sort of thing.

It's not long before she needs to head to bed, though.

Unfortunately for her, baby bladder is a Very Real Thing.

Even though he's content with his new job, Rory still checks the paper, juuuuust in case. He can't give up on his dreams - they're just temporarily on hold is all.

Now more comfortable, Logan returns to the books. There's so much to learn!

Fraternizing with the witches huh, Rory?

Evening falls, and with it a light snow, and Rory heads out into the night for his first shift, to protect the streets of Arcadia. Or something.

Logan's second bowl of mac n cheese is interrupted by her next pop! It's all happening so fast!

Rory will never be a handiman of any kind if he doesn't work on his skills - and also Logan is in no state to be tinkering about with the plumbing anyway.

It's like all she does is eat...

The siblings tuck in for a night of studying.

At last, Logan finishes her book. She feels really good; she's certainly much more prepared for her incoming child!

Hello, winter.

HELLO FRIEND!!!!

There's only so much studying Rory can deal; even though he has skills to work on, his heart truly lies with being creative.

Whatcha watching, baby girl?

It's almost as if Maddox paid a visit just to coo at Logan's belly. Which isn't the most weird thing. At least Logan knows her baby will be happily received by the residents of Arcadia and hopefully grow up warm and loved.

Which is great reassurance, because that baby is wasting no time coming into this world!

He's nearly entirely all Dempsey - with his father's skintone and hair color, but he has Logan's eyes. <3

Rory isn't around to meet his nephew, but Keegan comes into the world full of his mother's love, and that's enough.

Logan is thrilled by her new bundle of love and immediately finds herself doting on him.

Don't tell Rory that Logan got this baby bouncer from Sim City...

It's good news for the entire Ceret household! Rory comes home with a promotion!

Even though it's late, he greets his nephew before he heads to bed. :3

Being a mother feels even better than Logan ever could have imagined.

Both Logan and Rory look after Keegan quite well.

And when they have other things to take care of, he has his fun bouncy chair to play with.

News of new children is very exciting for Grover, who wants nothing more than a brood of his own to open a school for them.

lmao missed connections~~

That evening, Logan writes a check to Maeve for 608 simoleons. Not too bad, for what they have.

Rory is still getting friendly with the local witch, and doing what he does best.

Can you guys just leave Logan's guitar be? Sighs.

Dempsey comes over for the first time since the birth of his child, and as with last round, they end this one with some woohoo. lmaoooo

Notes Honestly guys I remember so very little of this, I feel terrible. I miss my neighborhood but I feel like so many little details have been lost in the months that have gone by since I updated and I feel rottteeeeeeen. Hopefully as I go through the other rounds, it'll be easier to remember things. Ngl this family just continues to be difficult to write for, cos Rory is so... Rory. And Logan often wants a lot of things I can't fulfill for her.

Also since it's been so long, even tho my gameplay is in round 4 I HAVE NO RECOLLECTION OF WHAT KEEGAN LOOKS LIKE AS A TODDLER so i'm pretty excited to come across that later lmao (I actually booted up my game to GO CHECK ALL THE KIDS' NAMES cos I... forgot them lmao why am I like this)

Anyway, if you're a returning reader, thank you so much! and if you're new, I swear I'll try not to go 6 months without updating. We'll... see lmao
