Fall 01 Round Up

And here's what you missed in Fall 01 of Arcadia!

Our adventure began with the home of our intrepid mayor to be, Maeve Lovette, and her brother Grover. Though she was fired from politics on the first day, Maeve managed to get back on the horse and get back on the right path to political glory. Her standing within the community remained quite high, working in her favor. On day one, City Hall was opened as a gathering place for the people of Arcadia, and for Maeve's inspiring speeches. Grover, when not assisting Maeve with household duties, took a special liking to Delilah St. Claire. He has high hopes that soon the Arcadians will start producing kids, so he can open a little school for them. Somehow, City Hall reaches level 2 in rank.

Siblings Dallas and Dempsey Greene took immediately to work on their farm. With eventual plans to expand upon it in spring, they spent fall preparing for winter, that is, by cultivating as many tomato plants as they could to help provide for the Arcadians come winter when the land will be too cold to work. Dallas found herself to be less of a people person than her brother, favoring books and plants. Dempsey, on the other hand, made himself into a social butterfly - and also spent a lot of time hunting actual butterflies, too. Dallas found her OTH in Nature, as well! At the end of the season, they took in a bountiful harvest with plans to open a grocery come winter.

Truthfully, the Ceret family brings little to the table, and they spend much of fall quite leisurely. Rory discovers an OTH in arts and crafts and his sister Logan takes quickly to music and dance - and for a while they each do little of anything else. Maddeleine St. Claire begins her gang of paper-hat wearing newspaper thiefs by knicking as many of the Ceret's papers as she can. Surprisingly, Rory tops out his arts and crafts hobby, managing to unlock the art career to himself (though plans for him to become an eventual mechanic still float around.) While Rory was busy topping out his arts and crafts enthusiasm, Logan and Dempsey begin the first relationship of Arcadia with some shy flirting and some bold woohoo~.

Faye Meadows wastes no time in getting down to business, and spends the entirety of her round working on her sewing badges with an aim of opening a clothing boutique once she reaches gold. Though she doesn't quite get to her goal by the end of fall, she's quite close, and a boutique is just on the horizons for winter. At the same time, her commitment-phobic brother Milo, former intended of the architect position, rolls a want for a make over station, coining a dream of a sibling make over take over with join boutique and salon! When not dreaming of making over the scrubs of Arcadia, Milo spends much of his time socializing and manages to get on the good side of quite a few of the fellow townsfolk! Despite this, though, biowarfare is waged on the Meadows homefront, in the form of knocked over garbage bins and cockroaches! We pretend Milo did not spend a portion of fall in distressed tears about the vermin.

Town treasurer (and noted paper-hat wearing newspaper stealing gang leader and possible bio warfare enacter) Maddeleine St. Claire opens the First Bank of Arcadia, officially securing loans available for the people of Arcadia - and thus the ability to begin their own community lots! Unfortunately she does not do as well running the bank - though lucky for her, twin brother Maddox happens to be a natural born salesman and knocks it out of the park, selling piggy banks and lucky cats. In the midst of all his sales, he takes the first step into flirtship with mayor-to-be Maeve Lovette, and love blossoms. Delilah and Grover make advances in their relationship, securing a want for engagement, though the romance seems to have cooled for them. But while theirs is cooling, things are heating up between Dashiel St. Claire and Faye Meadows, though no desire for commitment is yet made. In the mean time, Dashiel works on improving his cooking and raising his cooking enthusiasm for an eventual (hopeful) restaurant! The bank manages to make it to level one.
