St. Claire - Round One
This is gonna be a long one, guys. I'm sorta sorry but \o/ let's be real, I am me so I'm not all that sorry. In fairness, Things happen in this round, so many of them! Also, I just happen to love the St. Claire's. They're the offspring of a legacy I started a long time ago and then lost interest in cos I needed more sims in that hood and my attention was focused elsewhere lmao but god I'm a SUCKER for these kids! I'm pretty sure I threw them into Starryfay, too. Anyway.
The St. Claire household is home to Delilah St. Claire, wannabe mayor lmao; Dashiel St. Claire, asshole mcassface; Maddox St. Claire, architect to be; and Maddeleine St. Claire, resident treasurer and also mean bitch social butterfly extraordinaire. :| Let's get to it.

Biggest home in town goes to the St. Claires, but I figured it's fair because a. there's four of them (!!!) and b. Maddeleine being treasurer meant they should probably have more money. Let's be honest - it's a really ugly home, but it aspires to be better. You know. One day, when people have money and can actually renovate. It's somewhat sparsley filled, because a lot of the money went into building the monstrosity. And, again, because I like the idea of homes growing as we figure out their personalities.
Things begin exactly as one would imagine - that is, with Dashiel Assface McAsshole being his usual self.
Some backstory: in the legacy which conceived these kids, I was smitten with Dashiel as a child. Delilah was named heir, but I had a soft spot for him. Until he grew up and wouldn't stop trying to kick Maddox's ass. His ugly personality followed him into this incarnation, too. He's a Grade A jackass.
First things first, Maddeleine calls up and buys the deed to Arcadia Banking, officially setting into play the ability for sims to now apply for loans! Which means: businesses are now possible!!! Dashiel sits to pretend he doesn't hate Maddox while Delilah takes to the dance barre - which is basically the beginning of a Household Obsession.
Huh, wow, you DON'T say. Stealing papers, possibly knocking over garbage bins, inflicting annoyance and possible biowarfare on all the residents of Arcadia HASN'T endeared them to you? I can't imagine how that could be possible. \o/!!!
At least this household needn't worry about having THEIR papers nicked. Maddox brings in the paper to search for a position in the architect career per his LTW and town position, but finds none. :< Still, he looks awfully pretty searching. What are you implying, that I play favorites with Maddox? Plsssss. I didn't totally kick Milo out of his intended role in favor of Maddox out of FAVORITISM.......
The dance barre obsession takes Maddeleine, too, while Dashiel sits down to earn some cooking skill points. (In their legacy, Maddeleine and Maddox were addicted to that damn barre) Delilah autonomously picks the easel. Painting for Maddox, too!
Time for Dashiel to put his cooking points to work! For the life of me, I cannot remember if he actually wants to have a restaurant/be a cook or not but I know that's what I've been trying to groom him for!
Rotten as she is, I have a very soft spot for Maddeleine. She suits her fortune role well, I think, and she's so pretty! I hope she eventually wants children because she's just really pretty!
Every stops their individual activities and comes together for some lunch meat sandwiches together.
The kitchen is one of the only parts of the house that got any decor, and I really, REALLY love it! I know it's simple, but that doesn't make me like it any less.
He's nasty in literally every conceivable definition of it. :| God.
Maddox inquires about Dashiel's thoughts on fashion, especially blue hats, but Dashiel feels Very Strongly about them, in a negative way. Make up, though, is quite acceptable. And then silence falls.
Dempsey seems nonplussed, though. When did he arrive?
As it would turn out, music and dance is Maddox's OTH! He and Delilah take up the barre.
Shut up about the favoritism.
Meanwhile, outside, Maddeleine discovers HER OTH is sports. Huh! She doesn't strike me the sort, and yet. What a surprise! Still, that doesn't look like it's too much fun, does it? Be careful, don't let Dempsey hit you in the face with that!
A solid friendship, built upon gossip and meanness. Who is even surprised.

Maddeleine is really feeling her OTH now and getting into the spirit. Or exacting revenge upon Dempsey.

Logan shows up, and she and Dempsey behave accordingly. I like to imagine Maddeleine is quietly disturbed but, much as with a car crash, she just can't pull her eyes away from what's in front of her. I mean. She seems that way, right?

The St. Claires' place seems the Place to Be. (Check out that stack of dishes Delilah's collected!) I really like their home; the layout is far from complex, but I like how it works out and the wall coverings and such!
After sending home everyone, it's sleepy times!
The morning begins with some hot gossip, because what would the St. Claire's be, otherwise?
Maddeleine then coaxes her twin into a round of football but. Well. She's Maddeleine.

And then it's off to the First Bank of Arcadia, which was originally a hair salon by Shasta because I don't know yet how to make 1x1 lots so I had to transform what I already possessed.
Business is opened and immediately the people of Arcadia stop in.
Mean sims in cahoots man.
First Bank of Arcadia currently sells fashionable piggy banks, to better save what few simoleons one has, and also lucky cats, because Maddeleine believes she can bestow luck upon Arcadia in this way. Or because there was lit nothing else to sell, but hey. That doesn't create a good storyline.
Maddox finds easy success selling unnecessary artifacts to his fellow Arcadians - which is also a call for half these dang pictures in this update I swear.
As sole proprietor of the bank, Maddeleine seeks to help Maddox making sales except.... she's rotten. Everyone turns her down. She literally canNOT make a sale to save her life.
Maddox sweeps in, though, and makes the sale for her. Ouch.
Products are flying off the shelves, so Maddox busies himself with restocking.

Poor Maddeleine can't sell to anyone and ends up plodding away on the cash register. After probably 887 hours, she's successful and Logan hands over the first simoleon of First Bank of Arcadia!!!!

Back home, this scallywag takes up the barre and tries to earn himself some body points. I guess that's kinda necessary if he's to ever actually become a chef. But you know what would be better? EARNING SOME CUISINE ENTHUSIASM DUDE.

Meanwhile, Delilah preps herself with some charisma. In the future, she'd like to enter the political career, but first Maeve needs to get a little higher in the career track before there will be room for her to help out.
Faye gives her a call, too. Apparently Faye loves the St. Claires, which makes sense cos. You know. Those dang mean sims in the family. :|
Grover comes by, with dreams of adoption. From WHERE Grover? Where are the babies waiting for homes??? St. Claire isn't even recognized truly as a city just yet, you think Sim City wants to ship you a baby to what they'll consider the middle of nowhere? Pls, Grover, be SENSIBLE. Dang family sims. :|
While goofing around, Delilah rolls the want to appreciate Grover, which can't be too bad. After all, she's the only one he seems really attracted to lmao She also wanted to tell him a dirty joke!

Notes: WOW writing this up was.... something. I think my favorite write ups so far were the Lovettes and Meadows, because it was so much easier to just give them narration where this felt a little all over the place. I mean I could have but. Whatever. A thing unpictured: as a fortune sim, Maddeleine has that smart investing perk or whatever it's called, and in the fall, they made $1,491 from it. In my head, this all goes into the town treasury, as well as the taxes that will eventually be taken (I'm pretty sure on every Monday of the week) and the eventual annual taxes. Loans are now allowed. I haven't like, staged them, but I might eventually try to set up a "space" at the bank where we can see the sims talking to Maddeleine about loans idk. I like the idea of seeing it. Anyway. I have no idea what else to do with that bank lmao like... what else... to sell or anything so I'll just probably let it be and struggle as it does lmao.
I.... have no idea what's going on with Delilah and Grover, tbh. I left the want to be engaged locked because after seeing her complete and utter apathy about Logan autonomously smooching him up, I figured there was no way she had enough desire to actually go and ask him herself, so if Grover so desires, he can do the asking and we'll leave it up to her lmao. Dashiel and Faye shouldn't have been a surprise, to be honest, cos they're both mean assholes lmaooooo but who knows if they even want commitment. I think the only romance that seems committed so far is Maddox and Maeve - and honestly, I'm in LOVE with that pairing! *~* I have no idea how things will play out re: housing arrangements, though; it would almost make sense for Maeve to move in with Maddox, but then Grover is left alone, unless he and Delilah get things together and then would Delilah seem willing to move to his place? idk guys!!!! We'll figure it all out in time, I hope!
The most exciting thing is, obviously, that now we can do businesses! Originally I was going to have everyone befriend Maddox before they could build but a. he has a generally good relationship with a lot of everyone and also b. HE NEVER GO THE ARCHITECT CAREER. \o/ So. You know.
But hey! That ends the first fall of Arcadia!!!! :3 Gonna try to get a lil Fall Round Up together maybe. I didn't do any cute posed pics like everyone tends to do cos I still haven't really played with poses much lmaoooo but maybe in the future founds. I feel like not a lot happened in Fall, but we got businesses unlocked, Rory unlocked the arts career for himself, the Greenes are ready for their grocery store, and some sims fell in love all over the place. Maybe lil families will start forming? Come on guys, we need sprogs to build this town!
