Character reservations
are a reservation of a right to apply for the character, not a reservation of the character per se. Thus, if there are multiple applications for the same character, a reservation guarantees you a right to have your application reviewed, so long as it is submitted within the stipulated time frame.
In other words, we'll wait for your application to come in before we decide. So it's best to apply as soon as possible. Also, a reservation is no guarantee you will get the character.
So,
Character reserved [date here] = applications for that character are still accepted!
However,
Character reserved, journal pending = The character is taken, we will not accept further reservations or applications. However, you can still apply for a clone. (Please see the bottom of this page for an explanation of clones).
Reservations may not be for more than 1 month.

Arcadia allows clones of characters, whether (a) actually cloned in a lab by the resident evil scientists, Hojo and Nii, or (b) a character from a parallel universe. Each character may have up to 1 clone, and consent from the original player must be sought. Please let us know if you would like to apply for a clone, so we may ask on your behalf.
It is perfectly acceptable for clones (especially lab grown ones) to be imperfect copies, whether physically or in terms of characterisation due to different experiences.
