Christmas in the Philippines is the longest in the world. We start celebrating upon the arrival of the -ber months, so when it hit midnight earlier and September 1st came rolling in, my roommate and I played Jingle Bell Rock on YouTube. To me, this signals the beginning of the end of the year. I'm not sure how I feel about this.
I'm still alive. I have been writing as much as I can. But I haven't been posting for several reasons. Either way, all the stuff I come up with will probably be in the journal
ficxperiments I've got at least seven stories pending for posting. Anytime soon when I feel like it. HO HO.
I'm not making much sense, am I? Here, have a cat picture:
What have I been doing since I last wrote about myself?
1. I've been trying to watch more anime again. This season, I'm watching Zankyou no Terror, Sword Art Online, Free: Eternal Summer, Tokyo Ghoul, Glasslip and Shounen Hollywood. Those have been ranked from best to worst according to my personal preferences. The last one is actually about a group of teenage boys who are struggling to become idols. It's not that bad. It just isn't very good.
2. I signed up to take the JLPT. It's held in the Philippines only once a year, and in 2014 it will be happening on December 7. I'm taking N5. I haven't even started studying yet. I can't read Japanese very well, I write it very badly, but the odd thing is I'm sure my listening skills are already at N5 or even higher. This is what you get from watching too much Arashi: an imbalance of language acquired.
3. I saw Satoh Takeru and Aoki Munetaka in the flesh. They came to Manila to promote Rurouni Kenshin, and my friends and I saw them. It felt weird. I now completely understand the girl who walked right up to Jun at a handshake event and let slip, "Whoa, you're real." That's what I felt, too. I used to see this guy's face on Japanese TV all the time and then BAM. He was in front of me. Plus, I was breathing the same freakin' air as a person who had breathed the same freakin' air as Arashi. It was too much. I didn't take pictures. I'm not very good with modern equipment.
I think this will be a personal blog from now on, as all my future fanfic will be posted at ficxperiments. This blog might start boring some people. We'll see.
From hereon as well, please look kindly upon me.
