The building was clearly old, but, despite that it was impressive and quite beautiful. However, looking at my jeans and sandals, I suddenly realized how different Ninomiya and I really were. He looked at me, noticing my uncertainty.

- What?

- I don’t know… It’s your world, you know?

- My world? - he laughed, walking down the stairs to my rescue. - You make it seems like I’m from a distant planet. Come on!

I let myself be carried by him, despite the feeling that everybody was staring at me. I was silent, though, lost in my own thoughts.

- Never thought you would be annoyed by this. - he said, frowning at me. - You knew who I am, so what’s the problem?

I smiled.

- You were barely naked, then. I guess I just forgot you were that rich.

He giggled.

- And now I’m not worthy of your friendship anymore?

- Worthy…?

But I couldn’t make a sentence, since the elevator opened up to his floor. Actually to his apartment, since it was really that big. He got a spare key on the top of the door dorm and opened it wide.

Well, sorry. I have to describe it for your better understanding. If you know something about Tokyo then you’ll understand how shocked I was when I finally arrived there. His living room was huge! There was a huge piano next to a balcony. Also a flatscreen TV with so many devices I couldn’t even name them. And a beautiful dining set, everything light colored, making it look even bigger.

- Tadaima! - he shouted.

I frowned.

- Are you expecting someone to answer?

- Of course not, I…

- Okaeri. - said a sleepy voice from the corridor.

We turned our heads to see a sleepy Ohno, only in his boxers, coming out of one a room. For what seemed a century we kept there, facing each other in total confusion, until I broke the silence.

- Since you’re safe and sound, I’ll be going now.

- Don’t you dare. - he said in a very threatening way.

Ohno kept silent, looking at us in a hurtful way it wasn’t easy to stare. I felt guilty despite having nothing to do with their fight.

- Frankly, Ninomi…

- Honey, I want you to meet my best friend, Ohno Satoshi. - Nino said, with a cute and endearing smile.

Why was he "honeying" me?

- Hajimemashite. - I said, embaressed.

- Honey? - of course Ohno wouldn't return my compliment, being so confused by Nino’s behavior.

- I’ve just came back from her house, but I’m leaving again. - he said, heading to what I believed to be his bedroom and leaving Ohno and me alone.

- Are you his girlfriend?

- Of cours…

- Of course she is! - said Nino, "Don’t you dare!" his eyes messaged me.

- Since when? - Ohno asked, persistent.

I was feeling really bad. First, I was caught in that crazy story and ended up with Nino all over my house. Now, he was using me to argue with Ohno. Why did someone above hated me that much?

- I really don’t know. It’s that kind of thing that just happen, you know?

Oh, yeah. That was for sure. Nino was something that just happened in my life.

- You don’t seem much happy with this though. - Ohno was facing me now.

I felt my face reddening under his stare.

- We had kind of an argument yesterday… - Nino put his hands on Ohno’s shoulders, looking at him in a very grateful way. - And you were just an angel helping me understand.

- I did… what? - I could see those heart-shaped lips of Arashi’s leader opening into a perfect "O".

Nino came to my side, entangling his fingers in mine. I tried to stop him, but he gave me "that" look and I just felt my heart sinking inside my chest when I realized how wet Ohno’s eyes were right now.

- I realized I wanted to be by her side. - he said, in a soft way, maybe realizing how bad he was hurting his best friend.

Ohno didn’t answer, just going back to the bedroom. I gave a deathly look at Nino, but he was looking at the floor and I realized he was devastated. Right. Now I didn’t have the heart to scold at him. I was wondering what to do next when Ohno passed us by in a rush.

- Hey, where are you going? - Nino yelled, holing Ohno’s wrist.

- I’m giving you some privacy.

- Ohno-san. - I said quicly. - You two have many things to say and…

Nino just pulled the older mand closer, hugging him from behind.

- We are going to the beach. - What?, I thought. - I wanted you to come with us.

Oh, no! No, please! Please, Ohno, say you won’t go! I don’t want to be stuck in this situation any longer!

- Why? - he whispered, I could sense he was holding back his tears.

- Because you are my best friend. - Nino’s chin was caressing the boy’s nape. - And I need you.

I’ve lost.

Of course Ohno would never resist to Nino’s "I need you". That’s how I ended up in my car, driving for the two love birds on my way to the beach. Not that I don’t like it. I came from Rio de Janeiro, the place known for its beaches. But, come on! What was I doing there?

Ohno was kind of confused at first, when Nino, decide to go behind with him instead of seating next to me. I could sense his eyes on me, in confusion.

- Won’t your girlfriend get angry, driving alone?

- I don’t mind, Ohno-san. - I said quickly. - He missed you already.

Nino looked at me, but there was no angriness in his eyes.

At the beginning there was only silent behind me, but, looking to the mirror, I saw Nino cuddling Riida that was truly bemused by his friend’s behavior.

- Nino, please… - I heard him pleading.

I laughed at this. Poor Ohno. If Nino hade turned me crazy with just one day of "he-having-his-way-around-me", I really couldn’t understand how the old man had survived that long.

- Didn’t you miss me tonight, Riida?

- Why did you leave in the first place?

Nino gave his best smile.

- I came back, didn’t I?

Ohno didn’t answer. The point was, he did go. And, actually, he ran. Like running from the devil himself. I thought about Ohno all day long and seeing his hurt expression wasn’t making me feel better for him.

- Aren’t you happy? - I couldn’t believe my ears.

- Eh?

- We are going to the beach! - he said, like talking to a 3-year-old child. - You know I hate the beach!

- Then, why are you going there?

I could see Nino’s smile at the mirror.

- Because I know you'd love it.

- Isn’t it supposed to be a date with your girlfriend?

Nino looked at me, what made me take my eyes out of the mirror.

- You don’t mind making Ohno happy, do you, baby?

- Not at all. - he would never guess how honest I was right now. - My pleasure.

Ohno frowned at my words, probably lost about the strange girlfriend that didn’t cling on her boyfriend madly.

- Thanks… - I heard he whispering. - I don’t even know her name.

Nino laughed.

- Nina.

- What?

- Nina.

- Nina?

I started laughing at him. Ridiculous, that crazy coincidence, I reckon that. But once again, really funny.

- I think that's what I love the most in her.

Oh, he recognizes his own selfishness… That was a first.

They kept there giggling and cuddling and I felt more relaxed. I just couldn’t deal with that hurt look into Satoshi’s eyes. I guess he realized he had Nino entirely for himself right now and that I wasn’t such a threat as he believed at first. I turned the radio on, singing along some happy songs that came out. I was so distracted I almost forgotten them both. Until I felt Nino’s tongue caressing my earlobe, making me jump and almost - pretty almost - hitting another car.

- Don’t you ever…! - I couldn’t finish.

- Pull over. - he said, smiling mischiefully.

I just obeyed. I learned fast that obeying Nino was the safer way to handle with him.

I looked around. There wasn’t many things to do, besides swimming and tanning, two things I haven’t prepared myself for. Then, I noticed a little market, and I had a very good idea.

- Hey, guys! I’m getting something for us to eat. - I gave them my best smile. - In the hurry, I didn’t make anything for us.

Nino gave me a grateful nod.

- No! - Ohno shout. - We won’t let you wander here alone.

Oh, dear…

- It’s okay, Ohno-san! I’ll be right across the street.

He pushed Nino to come beside me, almost angry.

- We don’t know the people in here. They can be mean to your girlfriend, you know? - Ohno scolded him. - Take care of her.

I looked at Nino, helpless, but he just gave me his hands and oddly we went to the market. Inside it, I let his hands go and was relieved to see Ohno was calm now. We walked through the market, eventually discussing about an item or another. Nino was careful about the prices and I was really thankful for that, since I was far from having the money they have.

- I’m hungry, already. - Ohno complained.

Of course he was. For all I know, the boy had just woke up when we bursted into Nino’s apartment.

- We can make a picnic on the beach. - I said. - Isn’t it romantic?

Both of them looked at me surprised. Nino because he couldn’t understand why I was adding "romantic" to a sentence attached to him. Ohno because he believed to be the spare breaking our perfect dream date.

- I’m hungry! - I said, running to the beach.

I heard them following me and, despite all the weirdness, when we finally laid on the floor, they were laughing with me. Great! Know I could believe it would be indeed a good day.

- Hey, Nina! Come closer! - Ohno yelled at me.

There I was, soaked wet inside that amazingly cold water, running into Ohno’s direction.

- Isn’t it too deep?

- Don’t be a pussy! - he complained, pouting.

- Can’t help it… I was born that way.

He laughed hard, before showing me his tongue. Oh, yeah. Were they all like this? He was ignoring me by morning. Now, I felt like he was my best friend.

- I’m getting bored. - Nino shouted from the shore.

I glanced at Ohno, who smiled at me. Nino hated the water, but I couldn’t help following Ohno when he decided to enter in it. I just loved swimming the most. And I really missed my country, the peace I found in the water, just feeling it surrounding me. Ohno held my hand.

- Come!

We walked a little, trying to find a place where we could dive peacefully. It was a wonderful sensation once you get used to the cold water.

- Hey… I guess I’m gonna let you here. - Nino shouted again.

- Own… Why is he such a bore? - I asked without thinking.

- Is he? - Ohno asked, surprised.

I felt my face blush. Oh, yeah. Fix it!

- Well… He is. But he has another side too, hasn’t he?

He didn’t answer, just looking to the sea.

- I don’t understand how it happened. I mean, you two happened.

- Ohno…

- Yes?

I couldn’t go on. I wished I could ask him about his feelings for Nino, but I just couldn’t. I had just met them, I couldn’t meddle into their lives like that.

- You are a good friend.

- Is that why you don’t mind me near Kazu?

I smiled.

- He looks happy when you are near. - and I really meant it.

His eyes pierced my heart. I knew I hurt him badly, that it was something he truly believed inside his heart but couldn’t say it out loud. That he once and a while questioned himself about it being all a crazy dream. But hearing it from a total stranger. Oh, yeah. This should hurt.

- And with you?

I couldn’t tell I meant nothing to him. Nino would kill me.

- He just likes hanging around. - I said.

Well, it was kind of true, wasn’t it? He seemed to enjoy my company. Why else would he wake up in my bed?

- Do you love him?

Oh, mine.

- Ohno…

- Just tell me. - his eyes were pleading.

Suddenly, in a very soft movement, he was right in front of me. I gasped, feeling his hand holding my chin to look up at him.

- Do you?

- What the hell the two of you are doing?

We split up when we saw Nino beside us, inside the water he hated the most.

- What…? How…? - he stuttered.

- To hell with it. You two: we are going back now!

And, as good kids, we just followed.
