Hi everyone,
I don't really know the best way to say this, so I'm just going to come out with it:
Arashi Road Trip is ending.
Hear me out. You may have noticed that the number of stories being posted in this community has dropped off radically since its amazing first few months. We used to have multiple posts a month, and now it's more like we're lucky to post two fics in half a year. This lack of production is due to a variety of reasons, which I will go into more detail about below, under the cut, but the message that I take away from all this is that the community is dying, and because of this, I think it's best to pull a Bill Watterson and quit while we're ahead. I don't want this story to end, but I would rather it end properly than let it rot away, unfinished and forgotten, in the hidden corners of the internet.
I'm very sorry about this, guys. Please be understanding; this was a hard choice to make. I've had a lot of fun writing for this AU, and I know the other authors have too. Arashi Road Trip is an amazing story and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Who knows, maybe one day we'll bring back the story -- after Sho finally finds a place to define him, after Nino makes his way back home, after Ohno catches the fish of his dreams, after Jun makes a special wall in Johnny's full of polaroid pictures of his time on the road, and after Aiba has finally scratched that itch of his... maybe they'll meet up somewhere, and say, "Hey, do you remember when this happened? Wasn't that fun?"
And maybe, after long, happy hours of reminiscing, they'll look at each other and say, "Hey. Let's go again."
Thanks for being such great road trip buddies on our journey, everyone. All you guys. It wouldn't have been nearly as fun without you. ♥

AW YEAH COME ON, YOU KNOW YOU WOULD HAVE TO PRY THIS AMAZING COMM OUT OF MY COLD DEAD FINGERS BEFORE I WOULD GIVE UP ON IT. No disrespect to Bill Watterson, Calvin and Hobbes is forever legendary, but this story is nowhere near being over yet. There are still so many adventures to go on and so much more world to explore and so many more orgies to have. Seems like we're still in our slow period (although waxrose just updated!! psst you should check it out), but if any of the other authors are like me, we are wholeheartedly dedicated to this AU -- I think that even though we might take months to post something, we are still, in the end, going to keep on posting. This story is just too great to end just like that! /cheesy
