Anime Expo 2008 (Day 2 & 3)
Day 2
So...Kevin wanted to go to the David Hayter panel that was at 9 in his Snake outfit...but he woke up uber late and was going so. SLOWLY. (even though i was trying to hurry him up >.<" ). Rayna kept calling me telling me the line was getting uber long and stuff. We finally got there and got in like super late, but the room was big enough and I managed to get a few pictures of the guy.
I don't remember why but we ended up missing the concert that day. Ended up walking around the exhibition hall and stuff. Kevin and I ran into Edy again and he walked with us for a bit before wandering off on his own again. I think it was on this day that Kevin bought me a purple piggy from one of the booths (<3)
While we were walking around...we ran into Remy and her friend Connie. They were stalking the Jpop house booth because Kuro from VelBet was there. I was too shy to go get an autograph, so I made Kevin go and buy me a single XD. It was funny because he got mad when I tried to get him to get an autograph from Hayter, he got super pissed at me...but he went and got one from Kuro. Kuro seems really nice and peppy. He did some long assed handshake with Kevin, and Remy gave him a high five XD. When he writes his name on the single booklet he even blows on it to make sure it's dry before putting it back in the case. (awww <3)
Later on Kevin wanted to change out of his Snake outfit (since it was so hot) so got a ride back to the hotel, but before going in we walked a bit down the street and got smoothies from Robeks. There were two sheriffs getting smoothies at the same time and they asked about his getup XD (we'd have freaked them out even more if he were in something like some crazy looking anime cosplay with colored wig and stuff XD).
For dinner we ended up going to the food court at the hotel again, and then went back to the room for a bit. Steph and Connie had decided to go to the other hotel to hang out so it was basically just me and the guys 8D. Connie came back, but I think Steph stayed at the other hotel for the night? Around 1:30 or so the guys got the munchies, so we all ended up going back to the convention center to raid the vending machines ($4 bottles of starbucks anyone? 8D) We sat around talking until almost 3 before going back to the room, showering, and sleeping for the night.
Day 3
We all woke up pretty late (due to staying up so late the night before) and ended up missing the other concert as well. We had some lunch in the food court of the hotel before heading off to the convention center around...1:30-ish? and there was when we started having problems. The bus driver that was there to take people to the convention told everyone that they had to have a shuttle access stamp to get on his bus (no one had asked us for it before). There were a LOT of pissed off people and yelling (even from AX STAFF MEMBERS). But...he was a total jerk and even when people asked HOW we could get a stamp he just ignored them and was like PEOPLE WITH STAMPS COME UP. So...he left without a large angry horde of con goers. We waited for the next bus and got on just fine so we figured it was just that guy. When we reached the con, the first driver was in front of us...parked horribly D; ...whatever. We got off and wandered around for a bit until Aaron called and told us that he (and a couple of others) had almost gotten stranded at the hotel because ALL of the bus drivers had started requiring the stamp thing.
Before getting our stuff stamped though... I really wanted to go see Rusika so I dragged Kevin along. Natz gets better and better everytime I see him! =D (because...really...the time i saw him with Molly at Anime LA...he wasn't that good D; ...lovable...but not awesome). He has a band now so the sound is much better and stuff =D... After the concert, I didn't have a chance to talk to him because of the stamping thing. We called people and...
Well...the rest of us started panicking, and William, Kevin, Joseph, Rayna, and I went to the room we were supposed to go to get our badges stamped (since we found out you just need a keycard from your hotel). Well... though Connie and friends got their cards stamped with one keycard as a group, the rest of us weren't so lucky. The guy told us we could only get one stamp per keycard. (We only had 2 keycards because we'd only registered 2 people in the room...and Connie had the other card and was unavailable). Kevin got his badge stamped...then we had to do some sneaky work to get the rest of the badges stamped. (like... get jeff and steph to get their badges stamped using the keycard...having richard switch badges with william, having robert switch badges with joseph... and then going in one by one to get stamps 8D). Finally we all got stamps =D.
We were so busy with that that we didn't actually get tickets to the Masquerade to see Connie (We only had one... so we gave it to Jeff). We bummed in the arcade until everyone came out. Connie's phone had died though so people were rushing frantically to find her and to meet up and stuff. Finally everyone gathered and it turns out that Connie won runnerup! so she had a huge bag of winnings =D. It was past midnight by that time and everything at the hotel was closed so we all trekked down the street to a Denny's which was PACKED. we had to wait forever to get a table (er... 2 since we had like 15 people or something... haha). After that we all headed back and fell asleep.
