Long Time, No Words
Goodness, it's been a while since I had anything to say. And --lest you be surprised!-- I still don't. This post arises mostly out of the combination of smugness and early-morning contentment that pervades after one has done hard work. (Exacerbated by the fact that you are in a nice warm house and the world outside is full of awful weather.) In this case, the "hard work" was a positively massive batch of split pea and ham soup, half of which will be gifted to ladyofthelog this evening. With the soup I also made homemade bread, and so some of that will go with, full of hearty nutritional value and flax seeds for extra fiber.
We are coming up on the end of the school year and Big Decisions Which Must Be Made about where I'll go and what I'll do. I'm deferring said questions until the summer, in the interest of applying my ass off to things for the fall and winter. Options include, but are not limited to:
-Peace Corps
-Americorps
-US Navy
-US Airforce
-Teach for America (next year's round)
Meanwhile during the summer, I hope to continue teaching at my current job, which I love, and maybe find something similar wherever I go.
I am also hoping to tempt megwings, dremelf and myreitha to go frolick in the Big Sur with me. We can fossick, too, if they really want.
