Christmas 2009
Recap (for no other reason than I rarely post anything anymore)
1. Bought cards, but didn't find the time to send them. I couldn't really come up with what to write, and so, kept putting it off until it was too late. Managed to send an e-card, but just barely. Did manage to make cookies to bring to work, where they were a big hit (they are probably mouse food by now, though since I'm sure no one brought any home on Thurs)
2. Spent much of the days before a bit on the emotional side, and despite my best efforts, cried (quietly) through most of Christmas Eve midnight mass.
2a. Christmas day was better, though the cake I made for dessert didn't come out as good as I'd hoped.
3. Am off from work until, Jan 4 and hoped to be able to help my dad move, however, the bank isn't cooperating so he may not move until next week. He's kind of pessimistic about the whole thing and I wonder if all the people who havedbeen stupid enough to question his decision to move has sort of gotten to him a bit. (Note to the world......just because you wouldn't do it that way, doesn't mean that its not right for someone else)
4. Hope to see some friends while I'm off this week......
5. Love my new e-reader but wish more of the not yet published Discover books had been available. I keep buying more e-books and have no idea when I'll be able to read them, but am loving the technology.
6. Making a new year's resolution to get back on the weight loss bandwagon, I fell off (and into the abyss) and am seriously in need of a jump re-start.
7. No longer have a paid LJ account and lost a few of my fun icons, sigh. It wasn't worth the money that I didn't have to continue to pay for something that I rarely use.
8. There really is no 8, but I wanted to end on an even number.
I hope everyone enjoyed whatever they celebrated and wish all a happy and healthy new year.
