I feel as though I have to share the amazing story of my dad's cat since so many people on my flist are cat lovers. Last Feb, my mom decided she wanted a cat for her birthday. Dad was reluctant because of my mom's health issues, but always the loving husband, he went along and they got a Bengal cat.

Anyway, the cat was very timid when the brought her some from the shelter, she spent the first two weeks on the second floor of their condo, coming down only when no one was around. She finaly got used to things and then my mom passed away. She seemed to be a little confused but was handling it okay until my dad decided to sell his condo and there were realtors coming in and out and she didn't like that. At one point, during the comings and goings, she escaped. This was about 2 and a half months ago. We looked for her, put out a trap with food, and after a couple of weeks, assumed that she gone for good. Fast forward to last Thursday, my dad got a call from the a vet in Madison saying that a couple in Florham Park had found her! She was healthy, although much thinner. My dad is thrilled and she is cuddling up to him much more than she ever did. The way they managed to find my dad as her owner was since she had a identity chip in her neck. Moral of the story, if you have a pet that goes outside, invest in a identity chip so your cat story will have a happy ending as well.
