About volunteering (from extended 1, the class I posted pictures of):

The scene: Student 1 cannot speak Japanese and wants to buy a train ticket. He is looking blankly at the ticket machines in the station. Student 2 (a Japanese speaker) approches him.
student 1: Can you help me?
student 2: Sure. But it will cost you 10000 yen. [$100]
student 1: I only have 1 yen.
student 2: I also take credit cards.
student 1: (pulls out his wallet) I only have a Yu-Gi-Oh card. [from a trading card game]
student 2: sorry. bye.
student 1: ......
