Ok, I don't like hating on fellow writers, but seriously? I let it go when Twilight was published because vampires are all the rage, but Fifty Shades of Grey??? Someone wrote Twilight fan fiction, changed the names, made the guy not a vampire, and published it.

Why thank you. I totally started saying that as a joke but as it went on, I was like OMG - I could TOTALLY make money off this. 50 Shades is completely recognizable if you've read twilight. Mine wouldn't be, except for the select few that would catch the little winks and nods like "New Zealand." There is that one chapter that is racy, I'd just have to add a little more.

And forget Spirit of Fire. I went back and re-read that and aside from calling people "fisher elves" there would only be a handful of things that would have to change. I've taken out all the forge-smut so that it's publishable with an M rating over at the Vole Pit, but it's still there - put that back in and I'm good to go.

That's it. I'm writing fan-fiction from now on, and then doing Find>Replace is MS Word, changing the names, and self publishing... ;)

PS. I read some of 50 Shades - the sample - just to see if it was really as bad as all that and all I could think of was if I wrote this and sent it to you to beta, you would send it back to me just like, "No. Just no."
