How appropriate is it that, today being the feast of the Assumption, I randomly go to a family party and meet a distant relative who teaches me how to make a "silent rosary?" She is making 40,000 of them to send to troops in Iraq, AND she works at the financial aid office on campus, and is going to hook me up with more info so that I can organize a service project for anyone who wants to make rosaries!! I get so excited over craft projects alone, but a CATHOLIC craft project is like the ultimate level of happiness.
I saw PD2 with my mom tonight at the ol' Laurel Park AMC 10. Sarah, you're right, the first one was better. When Julie Andrews was about to sing, though, I felt my excitement mounting, but then none other than RAVEN the formerly adorable but now overexposed Disney popstar wannabe JUMPS IN FRONT OF HER and totally monopolizes the only musical number of the movie. It was repreHENSible. But Anne Hathaway's love interest was 100% USDA approved, blue ribbon, breath-taking, God-must-have-spent-a-little-more-time-on-you PRINCE CHARMING. *sigh*. Why is it so easy when watching a Disney movie to feel like you're an awkward, chubby twelve-year-old still waiting to have her first kiss?
This week is my last full week of work, only 7 days left total. Praise the Lord. I am really wanting to go back to school. I can't believe I just said that, especially since I'm semi-terrified of the heaps of schoolwork and extracurriculars I'll have to balance, but it's really just time to not work at the bank anymore and have my parents calm down about the whole "our children are leaaaaaaaaaving."
Yesterday we went blueberry picking, and that was kinda cute. But my hands are kinda blue because I've been snacking on them.
mmmm I'm gonna get to bed now. Yay for a Monday morning sales meeting at 9 am...too bad I already know all about the senselessness of it from stats 408.
