Five Questions courtesy of
silentflux -

1. What was your first fandom to read and to write and are you still active in it?Ooh, this is a hard question to answer. Technically there are two fandoms that I was interested in at about the same time that launched me into fandom as a whole. The first, which I didn't write for was Stargate SG-1 which was my first introduction into slash fic. I knew the technical description of 'gay' from before but it was the first time I realized that romance in stories wasn't restricted to hetrosexual pairings. I liked the show up to about Season Five and watched it religiously on Sky One but as a fandom experience, it was very passive. I read a lot of fic but  I never wrote for the show except in crossovers..

The second which was my first real fandom was Kyou Kara Maou which I adored, RPed for and wrote a fair amount of  fic for it. I adored the fandom but once the initial run of the show ended, I lost interest. I'm not active in the fandom any more but I loved the time I spent there and the people I met through it. J'adore

2. What's the first thing you see when you get home every day?

The huge pile of leaflets that get ninja-dropped the second we leave the house for more than ten minutes. It's the first thing I see because I look for it; otherwise I will invariably stand on the one glossy/laminated one and there will be prat-fall.

3. What was your favorite book or tv show from your childhood?

I was (and technically still am) an omnivorous reader so tying it down to just one book is hard. The first books that were mine would have been a collection of the Chronicles of Prydain

TV Show would be The Mysterious Cities of Gold, which I watched every day after school up until third class when they stopped showing it. ;;

4. Where would your dream vacation be?

I don't really have a place I'd like to go on holiday. My dream holiday would be me + close friends travelling around to investigate anything and everything that looks interesting without having to stress over budget.

5. What's the one thing you can never leave home without?

Cheating again - my bag. I have a sketchpad, art case, notebook, phone, wallet, hairbrush, my ereader (before it died the death of an exploded screen), iPod and everything else I need in my bag. If I leave the house without it, I'm screwed.If you'd like me to ask you five questions, just include 'Eep!' in your comment.

Also, while I'm still not doing a 2011 fic round up, I did look through folders for any fic I hadn't mentioned before and discovered lurking in my WIP folder was a tidied up version of the octopus!comment fic I wrote for
akavertigo  so after
deannawol checked it over for me, I posted it to Ao3.

Octopodia

A cracky little story originally written in comment form for akaVertigo wherein Kris is a much-harried Marine Biologist and Adam is the Octopus that loves him.

Tomorrow, I'm finishing Goa'uld fic and answering comments, I swear.
