They have tea together, every second week.
They may have tea more frequently, but never since the war, have they had it less frequently. Gunter charms chocolate-chip muffins from the maids and Anissina brings a new invention to enhance the tea.
They have tea on the balcony if it is fine and in the forty-third parlor, with the comfortable chairs if it is not. They talk about: politics, food, people, art, poetry and faith. They don't talk about: female issues (except anything Gunter needs to be able to explain to Gisela), experimentations or Gwendal.
The maids have listened in a thousand times, but somehow, for the next two weeks, Gwendal will find himself with a willing bedpartner every night, without a word being said.
And Gunter and Anissina will smile across their teacups at each other.
And everyone lives happily ever after. All things considered.

They fought, that first night.
While Conrad fretted and tossed under the shared ministrations of Dan Hiri and Cheri, Yozak pushed Rad into a private room and locked the door. Rad tensed, trying not to show the sudden nervous twitch of his shoulders and moved to put his back to the windows.

Rad backed up further, one hand on the latch of the window. He was no longer certain that he could escape through the window before Yozak...did what to him? There was anger and iron-cast determination in those blue eyes that made him want to be anywhere else but here.
"You." Yozak said, even his voice rough and tired from the journey. "You and me need to talk."
"What could we possibly have to talk about?" Rad sneered back, but his voice wasn't quite
