So, yesterday, I did nothing from 1 pm to about 10. And I mean that. Like, I sat on the couch and vegged. It was both nice, and odd, and extremely boring at the same time. But life is going good right now, which is always nice. I got all my tax returns back (although I still need to pay taxes in one state--only a couple bucks, which is nice) and the tax returns covered not only my plane ticket home once I graduate, but also the trip I'm taking with my little sister (Chicago FTW--we wanna see "Mary Poppins" on stage...), and my summer job people emailed me back and were all "we'd love to have you back, we do indeed have work for you." So I'm way happy they're hiring me back (lots of stress gone, thank goodness), but they're full of baloney re: the lots of work. What he had outlined for me to do for the first two months I finished in the last two weeks I was there, I think. Oh well. Job and money FTW!
And Valentine's day was really nice. I did research for my feminist gothic research paper (apropos, yes?) and then watched the 4 hour Lawrence of Arabia, cause how can I call myself an educated person and an old film buff and a Peter O'Toole fan without having seen it? Oh that's right, I can't. But the highlight of the day was seeing the movie "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not." It's a French movie starring Audrey Tautou, and it perfectly appeals to my twisted sense of humor. I highly recommend it, but it's not at all the type of movie the cover (lots of roses, and smiles and such) makes it seem. It's AWESOME! :)
Then, cause I'm an anal evil librarian person like that, I got all my books put into my little book-keeping-track-of database. Squee! Including my piano books, thank you very much (of which I have many. :D). It's awesome. And I've discovered I only need 2 books to make my Georgette Heyer book collection complete (well, of the historical romances that she wrote): The Nonesuch and The Great Roxhythe. That makes me inordinately happy. That, and I bought (off amazon, 'cause amazon's pretty much awesome) a copy of a book I loved 7th grade and haven't been able to find since. Winds of Mars by H.M. Hoover. Seriously, the excitement cannot be contained. It's fantastic.
One of the iconmakers that I follow (
paledestiny ) opened up for requests a couple days ago, and today she posted some absolutely gorgeous icons that I requested. Remington Steele, Hart to Hart, Grace Kelly, While You Were Sleeping, Laws of Attraction. Squee! So much icon love.... :D Seriously, this whole "limit" thing I'm pretty sure goes against my constitutional right to freedom of icons. Right? Of course right.
And my roommate is yelling at me to come, so I must go. Blergh. :D
