1. What are your nicknames?
Um, none, really. My name doesn't lend itself to nicknames that easily, although my dad has called me "Sniff" since I was a baby.
2. What do you do before bedtime?
Shower, brush teeth/floss, put on pjs, read my scriptures/pray, and usually read or watch one of my tv shows (on my computer). I'm right in the midst of my "Remington Steele" fannish-ness, so I've been watching an episode of that before I go to bed. (Check it out--a young Pierce Brosnan!)
3. Tell me about a hobby of yours most people don't know about.
Um....is it a hobby if one goes around singing in public?
4. What color of shirt are you wearing right now?
Pink--my Smithsonian t-shirt. *misses the Archives Center at the American History museum, which is re-opening November 21st and I'm going to be at the other end of the country!*
5. Are you an introvert or extrovert?
Introvert. Not good at small talk, or being outgoing and making friends. I have absolutely no problem going on trips and sightseeing by myself--in fact, I often prefer it unless I'm with close friends. I went to NYC for a week on my own, and did all my sightseeing in DC by myself (I even purposely ditched my group once...is that bad?)
6. Which is more blessed, loving someone or being loved by someone?
Oh, I think both. After all, if someone loves you that much, it's hard not to love them back (I'm talking like family love, not "in love" love...)
7. Do you trust easily?
Um, depends on what I'm trusting the person with. With my feelings and emotions? No. Other things? Still no, but easier than with my feelings, if that makes any sense.
8. Do you believe in UFOs?
Nope.
9. What is something that has made you happy recently?
My cold is getting better, we finally got internet at my house, I found a used book I'd been looking for for a while, and my little (22 months old) brother ran and gave me a hug without me asking for it. :)
10. What do you normally eat for breakfast?
Grape nuts, or other cold cereal.
11. What is one of your goals?
Not a fan of goals. Not at all. Too many "goals are good" seminars when I was little, I guess. So I don't really set goals, although I've been working on finishing Paradise Lost (by Milton) and getting in better shape.

LJ, gmail, austen.com, theboard.byu.edu, and seriouslysoblessed.blogspot.com (hilarious!)
13. Do you sleep with your window open or closed?
Closed, always!
14. What kind of person do you think you'll be in ten years?
I've always hated these "predict the future" questions. :P An archivist, hopefully. :)

"He Plays the Violin" sung by Betty Buckley from the musical "1776" and "I Can Do Better Than That" by Lauren Kennedy from her album "Songs by Jason Robert Brown"
16. What’s your favorite item of clothing?
My jeans perhaps? No, definitely my "Grey Gardens" t-shirt that I got at the theater when I saw it in New York. Soft and just the right color!
17. What's better: to give or to receive?
Both, although it's generally much easier to receive! It takes a lot of thought and time (at least for me) to get someone a gift they will really like.
18. What's the first thing you notice in people?
I don't know--never really thought about it! Dang, now I'm gonna have to go meet someone new and see what I notice first...
19. What items could you not go without during the day?
My computer, internet, my current book, my ipod (a necessity at my current job), and my nail clippers (nervous habit).
20. What should you be doing right now?
Um, dinner probably.
