His statement. It sounds like he is trying to take Arashi's good side by bashing other singers.

I don't think that he's bashing other singers. He's just pointing out what lately is the problematic about releases. Because I think he is right. Many artists (and he didn't name them because this works for a bunch of artists, even if I see the tendency in idol-related acts using such methods the most) use such methods and I think even if using them to a particular point is totally OK, some artists really take this to an extent and I don't like that trend because it does not show how good or how popular a group's music really is but it only shows how much people buy, no matter if because of the music or because of the extra tickets, goodies etc. It's not that the president is bashing others for them, he just points out how it is an amacing result to achive such a win without using such methods because it's rare that acts do not use such methods recently. (And well, I guess it's his personal opinion that he prefers releases the traditional way (so do I) but I don't think that this is something bad.)
