Former SDN48 member Chen Qu announces her marriage
On March 31st, during SDN48’s one-day revival concert at AKB48 Theater, member Chen Qu (26) announced that she would be getting married.
Her partner is 6 years her senior and is an executive officer of a company. They are planning on registering their marriage and living together in the near future. She is not pregnant at this time and will continue her activities.
After singing their 3rd song, Chen Qu happily announced, “I have an important announcement. I will be getting married.” While some fans were in shock, others called out, “Congratulations!”
The couple met at a restaurant they were regular customers of, and started dating in summer of 2009. She was proposed to on December 31st of last year and decided to get married. Chen Qu says that her future husband “looks like Crayon Shin-chan” and “is a person who is reliable, smart, funny, and sensible.”
Among former SDN48 members, Ohori Megumi also made a surprise marriage announcement on December 8th at AKB48’s 7th anniversary concert. She and scenario writer Kanazawa Tatsuya registered their marriage on New Year’s Day.
